Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra: fifth regional meeting on moving from rhetoric to commitment

Organised on Sunday 13 September 2026 at the Al Massira hotel in Laâyoune, the meeting addressed the stakes of the upcoming legislative elections and citizens’ expectations.

Participants discussed how to move from general statements and promises to clear, achievable, monitorable and assessable commitments, while strengthening dialogue between citizens and elected representatives.

The meeting forms part of a national series of regional dialogues aimed at strengthening public debate on development and environmental choices ahead of the elections.

The Alliance stresses that civil dialogue does not end with elections: it begins with testing commitments, monitoring implementation and measuring results.
