An independent and influential national network
AMCDD is a national reference network, independent and representative of Moroccan civil society. Founded in May 2017 in Marrakech following COP22, it brings together over 1,000 associations and association networks working for environmental protection, combating climate change, and promoting sustainable development.
It acts as a platform for dialogue, advocacy, and lobbying at both national and international levels, carrying the voice of citizens and associations on sustainable development issues.

Advocacy & Lobbying
Advocating on issues related to climate change and sustainable development. Producing reports, issuing opinions on public policies, and defending the interests of the most vulnerable populations.
Dialogue & Participatory Democracy
Structuring and organizing internal dialogue between member associations and institutionalizing civil dialogue with stakeholders to promote participatory democracy.
Monitoring & Evaluation
Actively participating in the design, monitoring, and evaluation of public policies, strategies, and programs at national and territorial levels.
Capacity Building
Supporting member associations through training, administrative and material support, to strengthen their role in mentoring, awareness-raising, and implementing local development projects.
International Representation
Positioning as a credible and representative interlocutor with national and international bodies, particularly during COP climate conferences.
Territorial Governance
Contributing to local governance and supporting territorial communities in the ecological transition, by developing innovative tools for evaluating territorial policies.
Territorial anchoring across all 12 regions of Morocco
AMCDD is structured to guarantee representation across all 12 regions of the Kingdom. Its National Council of 79 members and Executive Bureau of 23 members ensure diverse and representative territorial coverage of all expertise and territories.
